Cuyama Aquatics Complex

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors initiated this project several years ago to provide the remote, and for too long overlooked community of New Cuyama this important community project. The project will provide much needed and desired family recreation for the entire Cuyama Valley.

The aquatics complex, designed by the Austin Company, will have a recreational four-lane swimming pool, wading pool, combination restroom/ shower/ pool equipment building and parking. This facility is envisioned to be a local recreational spot where families can beat the summer heat and participate in healthy activities without having to drive out of the area. The County’s General Services Department is overseeing this construction project, worth $1.6 million.

Please visit this web site to find weekly pictorial updates of the construction progress, and eventual news concerning the opening date of the new facility.
